Students and Graduates Achievements
March 2002 Klerksdorp Record Marlene Dreyer designs and copyrights a pattern making instrument for the use of drafting basic block patterns. Full-time and part-time students benefit from the use of this, as pattern making is simplified. Prior to this, various block making instruments were imported, tried and tested but due to incorrect fitting results, and difficult instructions an alternative was sought. Hence the development of a pattern making instrument that overcomes problems of price, availability, accuracy and simplicity. Local newspaper, once again features an article titled, “Invention puts city on the word map.” ![]()
